I decided to take Pat Winter’s Crazy Quilting 101 online class in the first session of Artful Gathering 2012. I’ve never done a class with the Gathering or with Pat and I’m having a ball. The strategy is to do all the piecing first, then bring all the pretties with me to Chicago (grandboys here we come!) as an easy take-along project for whenever (assuming there IS a whenever when grandboys are afoot).
I had to fudge a couple of places where mine didn’t come together quite like Pat’s did in the video, but when it’s all embellished (and I do mean embellished — trim, lace, applique, ribbon embroidery, regular embroidery, bead embroidery) I don’t think anyone will notice.
When it’s done I’ll let y’all see. Maybe.
I love this! Can’t wait to see it fully “embellished”.
